So you’re heading downtown for Super Bowl Sunday…great! In addition to the great number of downtown pubs and restaurants that will have the game on, here’s a short list of events happening before and during the Super Bowl.

Sunday, February 5th.
Kickoff is at 5:30 pm

O’Rourke’s 24th Annual Chili Cook Off
Where: O’Rourke’s Tavern, 14th and O
When: Have chili there by 3:00 pm
What: Chili Cookoff; everyone that enters gets a prize!
-1st Place $60 O’Rourke’s Bucks and name on famed Doctors Cup
-2nd Place $40 O’Rourke’s Bucks
-3rd Place $20 O’Rourke’s Bucks
Judges:Dr. Dan, 1990 Winner and chili legend. He also donated the cup, Erin Scheffler, O’Rourke’s bartender & excellent chili cooker (Finished 2nd last year & 3rd two years ago), Jeff Korbelik, Journal Star Food Critic.

Super Bowl Party at Bourbon Theatre
What: 21+ Join us for our Super Bowl party here at the Bourbon Theatre on Feb 5th! Food catered by Ty’s Amazing Southern Cuisine featuring special super bowl menu, plus ticket giveaways for tons of upcoming shows.
